Carol Bakaj White Oleander Reader4Life I have only listened to one children's book that my son received as a gift. Something about "Blue's Clues." I think that "audiobook" is an oxymoron. Carol HEART FULL OF SOUL by Taylor Hicks (great book!) Mary Burke STRIP SEARCH by William Bernhardt Barbara Mardones DIRT STORIES by Annie Proulx ---terrific reader as well as great stories. csimar THE ROAD by Cormac McCarthy Susan REQUIEM FOR AN ASSASSIN by Barry Eisler; COUNTRY MATTERS by Michael Korda (currently finishing) Jen Lalley HEART-SHAPED BOX by Joe Hill Michelle Miller I'm actually just finishing up listening to LITTLE WOMEN in the car. Lois The Prayer of Jabez Barb W. ACT OF WAR by Dale Brown Bonnie Gluhanich Simon Winchester's unabridged A CRACK IN THE EDGE OF THE WORLD (about the great San Francisco earthquake, among other things). Donna Tanner THE STOLEN CHILD by Keith Donahue. I also read the book. Fantastic! Linda M. Johnson I am presently listening to Carl Hiaasen's book SKIN TIGHT. The last book I completely listened to was his book, DOUBLE WHAMMY. Patricia Sanders Merle's Door Rose Birchall The Other Boleyn Girl Rene Livernois NO PLACE LIKE HOME by Mary Higgins Clark Marilyn Denington ANIMAL, VEGETABLE, MIRACLE by Barbara Kingsolver Ruth Harris Doyal I've not listened to one in full. I listened to some samples. I listened to a bit of Eudora Welty doing a reading and I'm looking to purchase that. I listened to a sample of a J. D. Robb book and the voice just didn't work for me. Clifton Wade I don't listen to audiobooks. SqueakyChu THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE by Audrey Niffenegger Jackie Houchin Jody Picoult's NINETEEN MINUTES, a very timely story about a campus shooting. The investigation, the trial, and the outcome were all intense and heartbreaking. The reader was talented and easy to listen to. Helen MacAskill The King of Lies Rosalie Leon Girl with a Pearl Earing Sandi L. TEARS OF A GIRAFFE by Alexander McCall Smith I can listen to his books as it is not necessary to remember all the details, like with other mysteries. I also will read the next book --- I love the the reader. Peggy Kincaid THE DIANA CHRONICLES by Tina Brown Jane Haase I am currently listening to THE GREATEST STORY EVER SOLD by Frank Rich and enjoying it immensely. I listen to audiobooks only when walking, working out in the gym, or driving on long trips. This one I've actually listened to while raking leaves as I find it extremely interesting. jz Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Patti D. CAGE OF STARS by Jacquelyn Mitchard Sherry Law THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY in 1993 on a long drive up to Missouri. It was better than a sleeping pill at putting me to sleep. :) Susan The Dive from Clausen's Pier Laurie Dumas I don't like audiobooks. Philip Rella STONES FROM THE RIVER by Ursula Hegi Kathy Kasten I have never listened to an audiobook. Nancy Filer The Looming Tower M. Archer HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS
Jim Dale can turn anyone on to listening to audiobooks. He is the best. Carolsue Donabar FROM DOON WITH DEATH by Ruth Rendell Terri THE ALCHEMIST by Paulo Coelho Ronna Lord HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS --- but truly, I have every CD read by this reader. He is surperb! My 4th-grade grandson loved his reading of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Becky Wreyford Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Marcia Ochs The Measure of a Man JRS The Thirteenth Tale Steven Schwindt MARK TWAIN: A Life by Ron Powers Freda SEPARATION OF POWER by Vince Flynn Virginia Nolte-Pace Middlesex Elaine FOUR BLIND MICE by James Patterson Barbara Lewis I can't remember, as having done machine transcription for over 30 years, earphone sounds just go in one ear and out the other, then come out via the fingers on the keyboard. After all those years, the mind just wanders even though the fingers do the right thing! Patti I've never read an audiobook. Loretta Sanford A Girl Named Zippy Karla C TRAVELS WITH CHARLEY by John Steinbeck Kathy Weber I've never listened to an audiobook. Nikki THE MEASURE OF A MAN by Sidney Poitier Mimi I listen to books all the time and just finished WILD FIRE by Nelson DeMille. I also have the book to read. I am currently listening to THE GOD DELUSION by Richard Dawkins. I'm also listening to WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN by Lionel Shriver, when I get the time. The last audiobook I finished was THE INNOCENT MAN by John Grisham, which made me want to drive to Ada, OK and slap all the people involved in those disgustingly handled murder cases. Kay the Last Summer (of You and Me) Tom Joseph SHOOT HIM IF HE RUNS by Stuart Woods Kathryn McNamara I have never listened to an audiobook. Kim Kovacs THE SANCTUARY by Raymond Khoury --- This was one of the worst audiobooks I think I've ever "read." I'm not sure if it didn't translate well, or if it's just a really dull read, but I hated it. I've listed to over 200 audio books over the past few years, and this was, without a doubt, one of the least pleasurable experiences I've had. Jeannette Howard DRY by Augusten Burroughs Gene Hill EVERYBODY DIES by Lawrence Block TIN ROOF SHOWDOWN by James Lee Burke Miriam I've never given audiobooks a chance to engage my interest. I may well like them, but my mind flies really quickly and jumps around so I've assumed that that form of book would not hold my attention. I never was one to be much on lectures either and was more the book student. I read exceptionally fast. Thus, my roundabout answer to the question is I've never listened to an audio book. Linda Fedchuk The Hound of the Baskervilles Laura Johnson ORCHID BLUES by Stuart Woods Lynn Ketelsen PETER PAN by J. M. Barrie Deb A WALK IN THE WOODS by Bill Bryson. I might even say that this book is better in audio than in print --- it's very funny and Bryson's timing is perfect. Trish Thomas I haven't listened to any, but I have heard the Harry Potter reader is good, and I might go for them instead of rereading them. Linda Lizzio Harry Potter Krishna THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE HOLY SHROUD by Julia Navarro Michelle Watson I have never listened to an audiobook. They just never intrigued me. I just love the power of knowing how to read. However, it is something I may look into in the future. Angie THE MEMORY KEEPER'S DAUGHTER --- This reaffirmed my belief that I do not really like audio books. I have tried them a few times and I much prefer the visual experience of the written words. Lu Jeff Playing for Pizza Meaghan Reckis STOLEN IN THE NIGHT by Patricia MacDonald F Tessa Bartels I've only ever listened to one ... It really helped when I was learning how to read. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I think I would do a lot more of it if I started buying them on audio as well as text, so I could listen and read at the same time.
