Regina GONE WITH THE WIND by Margaret Mitchell Ruth I'm not sure which was longest: GONE WITH THE WIND or Michener's HAWAII or CENTENNIAL. It seems like they each exceeded a thousand pages when I read them years ago. Lavonne Morrell The Pillars of the Earth Sharon W. TAI-PAN, SHOGUN, LONDON, and SARUM, all of which were very long. I personally don't like thin books as a rule; the more pages, the more one can be transported! Melissa I believe that it is THE CRIMSON PETAL AND THE WHITE by Michel Faber. Amee B Enders VANITY FAIR William Makepeace Thackeray Linda M. Johnson THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (unabridged) --- almost 1500 pages and it was worth it! Suzannefromtexas How long were the Twilight Saga books? I still can't believe I wasted my eyes on at least 2400 pages for the four of them! Reva Sacagawea Jerri Patton ". . .And Ladies of the Club" Bettie Tussey Probably THE FITZGERALDS AND THE KENNEDYS by Doris Kearns Goodwin although I'm not sure that it is longer than some of Michener's books, and I've read all of them. Rich HUNGER'S BRIDES by Paul Anderson. 1360 pages. Well worth the effort! Antoinette Tomasich WAR AND PEACE by Leo Tolstoy THE WINDS OF WAR and WAR AND REMEMBRANCE by Herman Wouk Linda "...And Ladies of the Club" Vickie Outlander Anne Fescharek Is there any other answer? WAR AND PEACE. Linda Hodgkins Gone With the Wind LuAnn Morgan THE STAND by Stephen King Ariadne Alexandre Dumas's LA SAN FELICE. It's 1700 pages, but just wonderful. Rule "...And the Ladies of the Club" Diana Kimberlin Kristin Lavransdatter When I was in middle school I used to read one long book at the same time I read many shorter ones. I could "endure the length of the longer one to see what happened at the end because I read the end quickly of the short ones! Jeanne Suffridge The Poisonwood Bible Lori Barnes The Bible, and still not finished. Jennifer Probably THE STAND by Stephen King. It was over 1000 pages. Sharon Daniels THE FIERY CROSS by Diana Gabaldon Nan ATLAS SHRUGGED by Ayn Rand Kathy WORLD WITHOUT END by Ken Follet. 1000+ pages, I think. Patty IT by Stephen King Ronnie Since I haven't gotten to the extra-large Harry Potter book, I guess the next in line would be THE STAND. Jaap Stienstra I think (but i'm not sure) Robert Little's THE COMPANY Marta Morrison SWAN SONG by Robert McCammon. It was a fantastic book and over 1000 pages Nancy Hollis Gone with the Wind Meg WAR AND PEACE by Tolstoy --- It is over 1300 pages! Melody THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF HENRY VIII: With Notes by His Fool, Will Somers by Margaret George of 944 pages. Teresa Steinert THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH by Ken Follett Patricia Beaver Don Quixote Julie Probably THE STAND by Stephen King (the expanded and revised million page edition). Phyllis THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH and its sequel Bev Richards THE BOOK OF NEGROES by Lawrence Hill Lee "...AND THE LADIES OF THE CLUB" by Helen Hooven Santmyer (1184 pp) Holly The longest and my most favorite book I have read was TWILIGHT by Stephenie Meyer . Lindsey LONESOME DOVE (fantastic book!) Mary Louise SHOGUN by James Clavell --- It took me over a year to finish it. Ana Marie I've read several but the one that comes to mind is GONE WITH THE WIND, only because it was a high school assignment and I thought I'd never get through the book in time to turn in my book report. Melissa THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, 900+ pages!! Cindy Pentecost Right now, it's SHADOW COUNTRY. It's definitely not the longest, but it seems to be taking me an extraordinarily long time to get through, although it's very good. Kathleen Davis THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH- Ken Follett WORLD WITHOUT END - Ken Follet or several Michener books Kelli Egbert I have read lots of books that seemed longer than they were :) but the book with the most pages would be SACAJAWEA (Lewis & Clark Expedition) by Anna Waldo --- approx 1400 pages Priscilla Vazquez THE STAND by Stephen King Tara Elliott The one that felt the longest was Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN, though it was technically a short book.
