The awards, which will be presented on September 30 at the GLBA Annual Trade Show, "recognize excellence in writing and publishing books that capture the spirit and enhance awareness of the Great Lakes Region." The winners will receive $500 and a ceramic sculpture designed and produced by Pewabic Pottery, a historic studio specializing in art tiles, ceramics, and glazes. Winning titles will also be featured in Books For Holiday Giving, the consumer catalogue used by GLBA member stores.
