2007 ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award Winners
At a ceremony held during Book Expo America in Los Angeles, ForeWord Magazine announced the winners of its tenth annual Book of the Year Awards. The 212 works and titles honored were selected by a panel of librarian and bookseller judges. Two books were also named Editor's Choice Prize winner, and each received a $1,500 cash prize.
This year's Editor's Choice Prize winners are:
Fiction
THE FOLDED WORLD by Amity Gaige (Other Press)
Nonfiction
WOMEN OF COURAGE: Intimate Stories from Afghanistan by Katherine Kiviat and Scott Heidler (Gibbs, Smith)

2006 ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Award Winners
On June 1st, at a ceremony held during BookExpo America in New York City, ForeWord Magazine announced the winners of the 2006 Book of the Year Awards. From nearly 1,400 entries, 216 winners were selected by a panel of judges to represent the finest work from today's independent publishing industry. Two books were also awarded the Editor's Choice Prize, which includes a $1,500 cash award.
