Though the weather outside is frightful, the hunky men are SO delightful. And these three ladies are about to discover that Christmas is not only the most wonderful time of the year ... but also the sexiest ...

Do You Hear What I Hear, Lori Foster
The holiday season heats up when Sergeant Osbourne Decker is asked to watch over pet psychic Marci Churchill. Sure, the woman is nutty, but she's also a knockout. And when she's accused of stealing a donkey from the local nativity scene, he can't stop thinking about frisking her...

Bah Humbug, Baby, Gemma Bruce
The last thing ad exec Allison Newberry wants this year is to spend the holidays with her former flame, the unreliable-but-sexier-than-hell photojournalist Lee Simonson. Hang stockings? She'd rather hang him. But when a blizzard hits their ski lodge, there seems to be only one way to keep warm...

By Firelight, Janice Maynard
Madison Tierney is feeling anything but merry this Christmas. But when she gets stranded with mountain man Grant Monroe in his secluded cabin, she feels her Christmas spirit --- and her temperature --- start to rise. Grant has a tantalizing secret, and what he asks Maddy to do by firelight sparks a Christmas adventure she'll never forget...

Since her first book in 1996, Lori Foster has become the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today bestselling author of almost fifty novels. Lori and her husband, their three sons, and their two Chihuahuas, Brock and Tootsie, all live in rural Ohio, outside of Cincinnati.

Q: What is sweeter than a candy cane, hotter than a roaring fireplace and brighter than a lit-up Christmas tree?

A: This charming and heartwarming trio of tales by authors Lori Foster, Gemma Bruce and Janice Maynard, which will ensure A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS for romance lovers everywhere.

In Lori Foster's "Do You Hear What I Hear" Sergeant Ozzie Decker is not interested in his buddy Lucius's wife's identical twin. Sure, Marci is hot --- but she's also weird. As in "carries on one-sided conversations with animals" weird. Ozzie loves animals, too, but he's afraid Marci's strange behavior means she's loony with a capital L. No, thanks.

But Lucius insists that Marci needs Ozzie's protection. Someone has been following her. When Ozzie finally agrees to keep his eye on Marci, he is chagrined to find that he is filled with eagerness.

He sees Marci sooner than anticipated when a donkey is reported missing from the local nativity scene. Hmm. Ozzie instantly suspects Marci. When he visits her, the unthinkable happens (he just canNOT help himself). Their passionate lovemaking is rudely interrupted in the most shocking manner. Even more shocking is Marci's disclosure that she's a pet psychic who has been conversing with the donkey in her bedroom.

"Do You Hear What I Hear" is a heartwarming romp of a story reminiscent of an old-fashioned romantic comedy movie (but with much more explicit love scenes).

The second story is "Bah Humbug, Baby" by Gemma Bruce, in which mostly off-again lovers Lee and Allison are set up by matchmaking siblings who trick them into being snowed in together in the tiny mountain town of Good Cheer, Colorado.

They are both infuriated by the trick, knowing full well that they can never get involved again. When Lee tries to leave, he slides into a tree. Injured, he must walk back through the snow to the cottage. Of course he's freezing...but somehow he and Allison figure out a way to warm his body (and hers).

Afterward, they wander the snowy streets of the quaint town, stopping in for a drink at the bar that the white-bearded, round-bellied town mayor owns. The holiday spirit fills the town, and Lee and Allison find it irresistible. But even while they're decorating a tree, each knows their bliss is temporary. Their high-powered careers have proven more important than a relationship in the past, and nothing has changed. Eventually, they'll have to go back to real life --- and give each other up.

The plot of "Bah Humbug, Baby" twists and turns in a magical, mysterious fashion after an adventure on a mountainside clarifies Lee and Allison's life priorities. Revelations in the last few pages give this story a special sparkle.

Janice Maynard sets her story in an isolated mountain cabin in the appropriately-named "By Firelight." There, artist Grant Monroe is holed up for the holidays. As he sits by the fireplace reading, a young woman stumbles through a blizzard and into his home. As she revives, she reveals that her name is Maddy and she has been hiking the Appalachian Trail with friends. Alas, her companions had to go home but Maddy decided to continue alone. Caught in the snowstorm, she saw Grant's light.

The two are extremely attracted to each other. Maddy is impulsive and longs to plunge headlong into a relationship, but Grant, sensing this could be much more than a fling, insists they hold off until they truly know each other. The anticipation heats up an already fiery situation, as Maddy is intent on challenging his willpower --- and Grant wants to paint Maddy nude.

These three stories offer a combination of humor, coziness, intimacy, unexplainable mystery, romance and sensuality --- which makes A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS delightful holiday reading.
