| A New Look for Our Newsletter |

September always brings new beginnings. For us, this includes a new look for our newsletter. We are making this change for two reasons: 1) As we have grown we need a more sophisticated signup system that was easier to manage and 2) we want to be able to share book covers and author photos with you as part of the newsletter. During our vacation hiatus these past two weeks I read through a stack of books. They were wonderful company during the five days of rain on the beach in North Carolina! Among the titles I enjoyed were NIGHTS IN RODANTHE by Nicholas Sparks (after all, I was in North Carolina!), THE CRUSH by Sandra Brown (coming in October), FOUR BLIND MICE by James Patterson (coming in November), GARDEN OF FAITH by Lynne Hinton and WHO KILLED TIFFANY JONES by Mavis Kaye (solve the mystery and you win $10,000!).
Over 150 books are being published about the events of 9/11. Over the past few weeks many of them have come into our offices. This week we share a look at fourteen titles that we thought told the story of this tragic event. I was surprised to see in this week's poll that 46% of you said you had no interest in reading any 9/11 titles. Before you completely turn them off, I urge you to look through our feature. If you would prefer something more uplifting, think about trying THE DAY THE WORLD CAME TO TOWN: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim Defede. This was my favorite book --- about the town in Newfoundland that played host to the 38 international flights that landed there on 9/11 bringing over 6,000 passengers from 40 countries ---a very inspirational story.
