Chicken Salad, Tracking Money and On The Road Again...
http://www.rwanational.org/500AuthorBooksigningKicksOff%20RomanceNovelConference.stm
I love to cook as much as I like to read. When I read LITTLE BITTY LIES by Mary Kay Andrews I decided I had to make the Chicken Salad mentioned in the book. Mary Kay has the recipe on her website so I set to boiling and hand shredding chicken (of course, white meat only!) and whipping up the recipe. My family --- and the staff of Bookreporter.com --- pronounced it a winner. I had such fun reading the book, as well. If you are looking for smart, witty fiction pick up this book. And I have to hand it to Roberta O'Hara who did a great job with a really clever review. I love it when our reviewers surprise me like that. And she does not even like chicken salad!

This week we introduce Christopher Reich as our latest Suspense/Thriller author. Reich is a new author for me. I read his upcoming hardcover THE DEVIL'S BANKER last weekend where he explores a timely topic --- tracking terrorists via their money trail. Watching this story unfold you see how covert operations are not limited to those being fought with weapons. Money transfers to fund operations lend their own fingerprints and the consequences are just as lethal. Read more about this book below. And if you are interested in reading one of 20 advance copies, send your name and address to SuspenseThriller@bookreporter.com.

I am leaving today for Orlando to attend the Christian Booksellers Association Convention there. We will be launching FaithfulReader.com, a website for Christian readers, in September. We are looking forward to this newest website and introducing books to readers in this market in much the same way that we do on Bookreporter.com. I fly back Tuesday to attend the Romance Writers of America Convention.

If any of you are romance book lovers, take note that next Wednesday night at the Hilton on 6th Avenue in New York City close to 500 romance authors will be signing book from 5:30-8:30 at a special charity event open to the public. I attended this event in Denver last year and it was a lot of fun! See the link below for more details.

LOTS to share this week, as promised. Keep reading and have a great week.

Mary Kay Andrews is a former journalist who reported on the trial made famous in MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL and is the author of ten critically acclaimed mysteries, including the Callahan Garrity mystery series. In this interview Mary Kay reveals why she decided to use a pseudonym for these two books. She also discusses the common themes and characters in her fiction and gives us a sneak preview of her next book. For more visit MaryKayAndrews.com.
