Here are comments from our group of Advance Readers about Lise Haines's SMALL ACTS OF SEX AND ELECTRICITY.

What did you think of SMALL ACTS OF SEX AND ELECTRICITY?
The book was fab. Haines drew an uncomfortably realistic picture of the combustible relationships often found between women, and what happens when they ignite. I found myself walking the line between cheering for Mattie and booing her. Jane's unraveling was marvelous. It was all disturbing and beautiful.

What did you think of SMALL ACTS OF SEX AND ELECTRICITY?
The book jumped around a lot and was hard to follow at times. I sometimes had to reread previous chapters to understand what I was reading. Otherwise, it was a book of compelling drama and confusingly uncommunicative relationships.
Thank you for selecting me to give my opinions about this book. I hope that you will select me again in the future to give my opinions of another book.

What did you think of SMALL ACTS OF SEX AND ELECTRICITY?
I did not care for this book for a number of reasons. I had a hard time following it. I did not care for Jane. [It was] hard to believe she and Mattie were "best" friends on both levels --- neither treated each other well. I did not like the way the author wrote the dialogue. I also felt that the book was disjointed in that it went back and forth between past and present. I [also] couldn't quite understand the relationship between Mattie and her parents.
Would you ever read a future book by Lise Haines?
I do not think I will read other books by this author.
