Gray uses easy directions and fun to read short myths to illustrate the ideas
of Goddess magic. The book encourages every woman to find the Goddess within
herself, the Goddess that rules over her sign. These 12 are explained in
sexy, sassy detail, as are the magic spells and properties that go along with
them. For example, Cancer is under the influence of Selene the Roman moon
goddess. Before a date, if they can't perform a bathing ritual to put
themselves in the right emotional state, Cancers are urged to give in to
their other love-food --- a Chocolate Heart Spell put on a box of treats will
charm a suitor for them. In addition, Grey includes other love spells, all of
which put day-to-day items like perfume and food to use in the hunt for a
mate. Readers don't need a full witches cabinet of ingredients or an
extensive knowledge of the esoteric to enjoy this book of love magic.
