When the CIA and FBI are trying to find the same person, the action
is fierce. David Baldacci has chosen Washington, DC as his locale for SAVING FAITH, a high
powered novel of intrigue. Lobbyists Danny Buchanan and Faith Lockhart are undermined by
CIA chief, Robert Thornhill, who sets out to destroy them.
The plot twists and turns, making us ask the question time and time again, "who is
the villain?" From the first pages, there is action, espionage, and a
murder plot. Thornhill holds all the cards, as he blackmails Buchanan and sets the plan to
murder Lockhart, who has sought the advice of the FBI, his arch rival government
agency.
Lee Adams, hired by Buchanan to tail Faith Lockhart, becomes her partner after an attempt
on her life. The story unfolds with their journey to freedom. Lee and Faith question each
other's motives, but need each other to stay free. Ending up at her home in the Outer
Banks of the Carolinas, the unlikely couple works together to unravel motives and players
in this adventure.
Baldacci has written a complex novel, teeming with characters with fierce ulterior
motives. If you can tell the guys in the white hats from the guys in the black hats,
you're better than I am! Enjoy!
