Quirky Reads
Save the big weighty bestsellers and serious books for winter. Use summer to catch up on the lesser known pieces of fiction. Not to imply that these books aren't serious, because some of them are deadly so, intense and dripping with raw emotion. But what all the books have in common is something that skews them just to the left of mainstream fiction and centers them firmly in the land of the edgy and hip.

If you have a book to suggest for this list, write to Jennifer@bookreporter.com.
