- Erica Spindler had originally studied to be an artist. She earned a BFA from Delta State University and MFA from the University of New Orleans.
- Erica read a romance novel in June 1982 while in bed suffering from a cold. She became hooked on the genre, and shortly thereafter she decided to write her own romance novel.
- Originally a romance writer, Erica moved into the suspense genre in the mid-1990s. Her first suspense novel was FORBIDDEN FRUIT.
- Erica Spindler has received several awards and honors for her work, including the Daphne du Maurier Award for excellence (for novel BONE COLD) and the Romance Writers of America's Kiss of Death Award for her novel FORBIDDEN FRUIT. The audio version of SHOCKING PINK received a Listen Up award from Publishers Weekly.
- Spindler's work has been published in 25 countries.
- Erica's novel RED was adapted into a daytime television drama in Japan, as well as a graphic novel.
- Several of Erica Spindler's books have appeared on the USA Today and the New York Times extended bestsellers lists.
