- Richard's novel, THE ROSARY GIRLS, is known by different titles internationally. The French language edition is called DEVIANCES and the German language edition is called CRUCIFIX.
- The protagonists of THE ROSARY GIRLS and THE SKIN GODS, Kevin Byrne and Jessica Balzano, are made up of composites of some of the homicide detectives Richard met while conducting research at the Philadelphia Police Department.
- THE SKIN GODS is the second installment in the “Philadelphia” series starring detectives Jessica Balzano and David Byrne. Richard plans on writing at least one more book with these characters.
- Richard’s screenwriting efforts have earned him three quarterfinalist spots and two semifinalist spots at the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. He also is a frequent second round entrant at Austin and Scriptapalooza.
- Some of Richard’s favorite writers include Richard Price, James M. Cain, Thomas Harris and Charles Willeford, and screenwriters Paddy Chayevsky, Robert Towne and David Lynch.
- To unwind, Richard enjoys cooking for friends and family, watching movies and seeing live music at jazz clubs.
