Fast Facts:
- Steve earned his undergraduate degree in political science and is trained as a lawyer, but he credits his interest in history for inspiring him to write international suspense thrillers.
- THE ALEXANDRIA LINK is Steve's second novel featuring Cotton Malone. It involves the lost library of Alexandria. He plans on writing two more novels featuring this character, to be released in 2008 and 2009.
- Cotton Malone is the first character that Steve has created who possesses some of Steve's own personality traits. For example, Cotton owns a used bookshop because Steve loves rare books.
- Steve's last book, THE TEMPLAR LEGACY, debuted on the New York Times Bestseller list at #4 and spent 8 weeks in the top 10. It has since gone back to the press ten times with 340,000 copies in print.
- One of the secondary characters in THE TEMPLAR LEGACY is Stephanie Nelle, the head of a fictional division of the Justice Department. To create her name, Steve took the feminine form of his own name and combined it with his younger daughter's middle name.
- Steve currently lives on the Georgia coast in Camden County, where he practices law and is involved in local politics.
