- Beverly is a 6th generation Alabamian and was born on a farm that has served as her paternal grandmother's ancestral home place. Her childhood was spent between Tuscumbia and Barton, Alabama and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- Beverly attended Chattanooga Central High School and graduated from the University of North Alabama.
- Beverly currently lives in her home state of Alabama with her husband. They have two children and two grandchildren.
- During her 17-year writing career, Beverly has written over 60 books so far, including 24 titles for a series she created, Silouhette's The Protectors.
- Beverly set her first novel, YANKEE LOVER, in her home town of Tuscumbia, AL, during the annual Helen Keller Festival.
- Beverly's last full-length stand-alone novel, CLOSE ENOUGH TO KILL, spent four weeks on the New York Times, Publishers Weekly and USA Today bestseller lists.
- Beverly co-wrote a romantic suspense thriller called MOST LIKELY TO DIE with authors Lisa Jackson and Wendy Corsi Staub. It was released in February 2007 and debuted at #6 on the New York Times Bestsellers list.
- Beverly is a two-time Maggie Award winner, a two-time National Reader’s Choice Award winner and a recipient of a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award for Series Romantic Adventure.
