Here are comments from our group of Signed Copy Readers about Chelsea Cain's HEARTSICK.
Dusty from Attleboro, MA
Have you previously read a book by Chelsea Cain?
No, I have not read any other books byChelsea Cain so far, but after
reading HEARTSICK, I plan to add her to my list of authors. I hope to
get her other books and read them in the future.
What other authors do you usually read?
I love suspense/thrillers and read at least one book a week. Other
authors I follow are: Patricia Cornwell, Linda Barnes, Iris Johansen,
Perri O’Shaughnessy, Linda Fairstein, Kathy Reichs, James Patterson,
Tami Hoag, Lisa Scottoline, Robert K. Tannenbaum, Nelson DeMille, J. A.
Jance, Nevada Barr, Tess Gerritsen, David Baldacci, etc.
What did you think of HEARTSICK?
I found HEARTSICK to be intriguing and very hard to put down. The
premise was very different and was what made it so interesting.
Archie Sheridan survives one of the worst serial killers in his career
after being tortured and drugged. After his abductor and nemesis,
Gretchen Lowell, is captured and imprisoned for her murders, she still
retains a devastating hold over Archie, costing him his marriage and
possibly his career. Now,Archie is asked to come back and lead a task
force to catch a new serial killer in Portland, Oregon. Followed
around by pink-haired reporter Susan Ward, he starts on a new hunt that
will either give him back his life or kill him, and maybe break
Grethchen Lowell's hold on him once and for all.
Would you ever read a future book by Chelsea Cain?
Absolutely.

What other authors do you usually read?
Right now I'm reading Lisa Scottoline, and I also picked up Laurell K.
Hamilton's new book.
What did you think of HEARTSICK?
HEARTSICK was absolutely fantastic; once I started reading I couldn't
put it down. This is, in my opinion, one of the best psychological
thrillers of the summer. Chelsea Cain captures your undivided attention
from the first page to the last. She had me guessing throughout the
story, and I was quite surprised by the ending. She has developed two
incredibly complex characters in Archie Sheridan and Gretchen Lowell. I
recommend this book highly, but a little piece of advice: do household
chores or have the kids stay at a friend’s house, because once you
start, you will not want to put this down.
Would you ever read a future book by Chelsea Cain?
By the info on the inside cover, this is the first book of three in a
series involving Gretchen Lowell, to be published between now and 2009.
I will bewaiting for these to hit the stands (rather impatiently).
Chelsea Cain has me hooked on what appears to be a very addictive
series. Congratulations!
