No.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Lots --- all three Kellermans, James Patterson, Lisa See, Lorna Landvik, Ann Packer, David Rosenfelt, Khaled Hosseini, J. K. Rowling, and Jodi Picoult, to name just a few.

What did you think of THE ABDUCTION?
I really enjoyed it! I'm not sure that I would have read it [if I hadn't received it] from Bookreporter.com, but I thought it was an exciting, suspenseful book. I felt like most of the main characters were interesting with their flaws, and I found myself rooting for them to work out their personal lives (of course, I was rooting for them to find Gracie too).

Would you ever read a future book by Mark Gimenez?
Absolutely. I intend to read THE COLOR OF LAW now!

Peggy from Clarksville, TN

Have you ever read Mark Gimenez before?
I've never read a book by Mark Gimenez before, but he'll definitely go on my list of authors to watch for in the future.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
My favorite authors always make their characters seem real and human, like people you might actually know, or who are worth knowing as friends. I think Mark fits in with other authors whose books I must read, like James Patterson, Joseph Finder, Robin Cook, Dean Koontz, Andrew Gross, and others.

What did you think of THE ABDUCTION?
THE ABDUCTION had me hooked from the beginning, with the quote from The Searchers --- one of John Wayne's more complex movies. The book itself has depth as it develops each main character as a human being caught up in one of the most horrific experiences a family can live through, the abduction of a child. There are surprise twists throughout the story as the bumbling nerd becomes a man, the [seemingly untouchable and hardened] mother becomes a real human being with depth as her secrets are revealed, and the grandfather relives some of the best and worst facets of military personnel during the Vietnam War. Gracie, their child, is a real heroine with all the best character traits of her elders without their flaws. It's really a book well worth reading.

Would you ever read a future book by Mark Gimenez?
He definitely goes on my list of authors to watch for in the future.

Rita from Coppell, TX

Have you ever read Mark Gimenez before?
I have not read Gimenez’s previous book, but I definitely will in the near future.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I usually read Jonathan Kellerman, Faye Kellerman, James Patterson, Jodi Picoult and Elizabeth Peters.

What did you think of THE ABDUCTION?
I could not put it down! The cover says, “Imagine the most terrifying thing that could happen...” and truly, a child abduction has to be a parent’s worst nightmare. But, the plot is full of twists and turns and personal secrets that keep readers engaged. Slowly, we find out that all the characters’ pasts are so intricately, and sometimes coincidently, related in ways no one would suspect. The only thing I didn’t like was that, in the end, the characters just seem to effortlessly become at peace with their individual psychological nightmares, and with each other. I can forgive this, however, because this book is such a treat.

Would you ever read a future book by Mark Gimenez?
I definitely will in the near future.

Una from Chaska, MN

Have you ever read Mark Gimenez before?
No.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Alton Gansky, Beverly Lewis, Carol Higgins Clark, Dee Henderson, James Patterson, John Grisham, Monica Ferris, and Ted Dekker.

What did you think of THE ABDUCTION?
It was fast paced; I had a hard time not looking at the end of the book to see how it would turn out before I was done with it. I liked that it had some twists and turns in it.

Would you ever read a future book by Mark Gimenez?
Yes.

Debi from Wilson, NC

Have you previouslyread a book by Mark Gimenez?
No.

What authors do youusually read?
Stephen King, Anita Shreve, Jodi Picoult, Elizabeth Berg, John Grisham, Stuart Woods, Anne Tyler, Danielle Steel, J. K. Rowling (I could go on and on, I read too much)

What did you think of THE ABDUCTION?
I was skeptical, at first, because I had never heard of Mark Gimenez and I don't care for mysteries, mainly because I can always figure it out way before the end. This book grabbed me from the beginning and I loved the bonding between father and grandfather, especially because they had been estranged for so long.  I also found the relationship between the grandparents was very sweet.  However, I didn't enjoy a certain coincidence between some of the characters; I kept trying to find a reason for it, but it ended up being just that --- a coincidence. I guess I'm used to things being wrapped up a little neater.

Would you ever reada future book by Mark Gimenez?
I will definitely add Mark Gimenez to my list of authors to read.I gave this one to my sister and told her, "You'll love this book."
