Here are comments from our group of Advance Readers about Heather Graham's THE DEATH DEALER.

Anne from Muncie, IN

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
No, I have not read anything by Heather Graham.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
Normally I read mysteries, but I have read Amanda Quick.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
I liked it. I was held by the premise, the characters, and the action --- which was not nonstop, but enough to make it exciting. I really appreciated the back stories of the characters, especially those who were not alive! I also appreciated that the characters remained consistent.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
Yes, I will. I would like to read the prior book to the novel, THE DEAD ROOM. I want to read more about these characters. They've become vivid to me.

Doris from Maple Ridge, BC

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
Yes, I have read many books by Heather Graham.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I read Karen Robards, Elizabeth Lowell and Nora Roberts, to name a few.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
Overall, I enjoyed it, but do not consider it to be one of her better books. I did like the "paranormal" spin she put on the story.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
Yes, most definitely.

Elaine from Fenton, MO

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
I read THE LAST NOEL in December. It was my first and only Heather Graham novel before THE DEATH DEALER.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I have either read or have in my "to-be-read" pile a variety of books by Cherry Adair, Sandra Brown, Mary Higgins Clark, Linda Howard, Marliss Melton, Barbara Michaels, and Carla Neggers.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
I had not previously read THE DEAD ROOM, which I understand is the prequel to this book. However, I still enjoyed this book and am planning on THE DEAD ROOM next. I found THE DEATH DEALER to be a good combination of suspense and romance that keeps the pages turning. The Poe references and paranormal aspects are just icing on the cake that add to the enjoyment.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
Yes. THE DEAD ROOM is next on my list.

Gail from Philadelphia, PA

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
No.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I enjoy books by Kay Hooper, Karen Rose and Nora Roberts.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
Graham's book satisfied on many levels. It provided supernatural thrills, suspense and romance.

Her plot was well crafted and kept me reading to the end. I didn't want to put it down.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
I would definitely read future books and I intend to get some of her earlier novels.

Gale from Houston, TX

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
Yes, I’ve read many of Graham’s books, including THE DEAD ROOM, whose story and characters tie directly to THE DEATH DEALER.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
Nora Roberts, Iris Johansen, Linda Howard, Kay Hooper, Mariah Stewart, Lisa Jackson, Andrea Kane, Karen Rose, Karen Robards, Beverly Barton, Jayne Ann Krentz, Stella Cameron and Wendy Corsi Staub are some who come to mind and whose work I read frequently.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
I enjoyed the book very much. Graham always does such a good job defining interesting characters and using these different voices to advance the story. Her plots --- here, about a serial murder with Edgar Allen Poe on the mind --- are fine, but the real strength of Graham’s novels is in her people.

THE DEATH DEALER reunites Genevieve O’Brien and Joe Connolly, two strong but scarred characters who suffered near misses in 2007’s THE DEAD ROOM. When Genevieve becomes convinced that ghosts are involved, she calls an old friend, paranormal investigator Adam Harrison, to help make sense of it all. With her trademark combination of romantic suspense and paranormal mystery, Graham delivers THE DEATH DEALER to a satisfying conclusion.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
Absolutely. I will continue to read Graham’s books.

Janet from Foreman, AK

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
While reading this novel, I recognized her writing style and realized that I had previously read one of her novels.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?

I enjoy reading Lisa Jackson.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?

The novel is a combination of interesting biographical information concerning Poe, a budding romance, and a twisted plot that leads to a surprising and yet common conclusion.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?

I look forward to the upcoming Deadly trilogy.

Victoria from Port Townsend, WA

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
I have to admit that I normally reserve my ARC reading for the authors I haven't read before, especially debut authors. However, if an ARC opportunity arises for an author I really enjoyed in the past, I'll grab it. Yes, I have read books by Heather Graham before.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I enjoy Beverly Barton, Susan Andersen, Sandra Brown, Anne Stuart and Catherine Coulter. I like the romantic suspense, so I also try new authors in this genre, but the above are my “if I see their names, I grab the books” authors.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
It was a fantastic book. It's amazing that an author is able to create an interesting mystery, explain the flaws and backgrounds of empathy-inspiring characters, describe surroundings in a manner that makes readers feel as if they're there, and throw in a supernatural element to spice up the story, all without overpowering the readers' senses. Graham seems to have found the perfect recipe. I especially liked the chapters written in “first person ghost.”

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
Without a doubt. I don't read all of her titles, but I do look for her books that involve the supernatural. I feel she uses just enough "other worldliness" to make a book provocative. She doesn't go overboard like so many authors in the paranormal sub-genre today.

Wendy from Brampton, ON

Have you previously read a book by Heather Graham?
No, I haven't.

What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I read J. D. Robb, Joy Fielding and Erica Spindler, among many others.

What did you think of THE DEATH DEALER?
It kept my interest and I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough.

Would you ever read a future book by Heather Graham?
Absolutely!
