Greg Baer, M.D.

BIO

For twenty years, Greg Baer, M.D. was a highly successful surgeon, teacher, civic and church leader, businessman, and entrepreneur. He taught the latest in surgical techniques to other physicians across the country and accumulated wealth and respect. He had everything that most of us want in order to be happy, but something was still missing—he felt empty and miserable. He became a drug addict and nearly committed suicide. In his subsequent search for genuine happiness, he learned some simple and powerful principles that have greatly enriched the lives of thousands.

Greg retired from one of the busiest solo ophthalmology practices in the United States to begin a new career of writing, teaching, and speaking. Today Greg says, "I never imagined life being this fun and fulfilling. I've learned that it's possible to feel peaceful and happy all the time, and that happens as we learn to love each other unconditionally."

Greg has spoken on hundreds of radio and television shows and spoken at seminars and other events across the country. Thousands of people have found genuine happiness as they've learned how to feel unconditionally loved and to share that love with those around them. He's written five books, and one—REAL LOVE: The Truth About Finding Unconditional Love and Fulfilling Relationships—will be released by Penguin Putnam Publishing in January 2003.

Greg and his wife, Donna, are the parents of seven children and live in Georgia.
